Terms of Service

Effective date: July 21, 2026

These Terms govern your use of MARIPA_E-SYNC, a bulk SMS platform operated by Maripa Tech Agency ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. Your account

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
• You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account, including actions taken by team members you invite.
• You must be legally able to enter a binding contract to use the platform.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use MARIPA_E-SYNC to send messages that:

• Are unsolicited bulk messages to recipients who haven't consented to receive them (spam).
• Are fraudulent, deceptive, phishing attempts, or impersonate another person or organization.
• Contain illegal content, hate speech, or content that violates the rights of others.
• Violate Uganda's telecommunications regulations or any applicable law in the recipient's jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, and to report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities or telecom regulators.

3. Billing & wallet

• MARIPA_E-SYNC is prepaid — you top up your wallet before sending messages, and each message is billed at the rate shown in your dashboard at the time of sending.
• Top-ups are processed through our payment partners; once a message is successfully delivered to the carrier, the charge is final.
• Rates may vary by destination network and are subject to change; we'll always show the current rate before you send.

4. Sender IDs & message content

You are solely responsible for the content of messages you send and for obtaining consent from your recipients where required. Custom sender IDs are subject to approval and may be rejected or revoked if used to send prohibited content.

5. Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service — delivery also depends on third-party carriers and networks outside our control. We're not liable for delays or failures caused by upstream telecom or payment providers.

6. Termination

You may stop using the platform and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or pose a security risk to the platform or other users. Wallet balances at termination are handled case-by-case — contact us.

7. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maripa Tech Agency is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost messages, lost revenue, or third-party carrier failures.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda.
